Method
- Preheat your oven to 375°F and grease a large baking dish. Press the refrigerated biscuit dough evenly across the bottom of the dish, gently working it toward the edges to create the crust.Try to keep the dough at a relatively even thickness so the center and edges bake at the same rate.
- Spread the marinara sauce evenly over the biscuit dough, leaving the surface well covered. Sprinkle the browned ground beef evenly over the sauce so every portion gets a hearty layer of meat.
- Arrange the pepperoni over the ground beef, spreading the slices across the casserole so you get pepperoni in every serving. Finish with the shredded mozzarella, covering the toppings generously.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the biscuit crust is golden and the mozzarella is melted, bubbling, and lightly browned in spots. The finished casserole should look deeply golden around the edges with the cheese bubbling across the top.Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before slicing. This gives the layers a chance to settle and makes the pieces easier to serve.
Notes
Spread the biscuit dough evenly across the bottom of the baking dish so the crust cooks consistently. Brown and drain excess grease from the ground beef before assembling. Cover the casserole generously with mozzarella and bake until the biscuit crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling. Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before slicing for easier serving.
