Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup pepperoni slices (optional)
  • 1/4 cup cooked ground beef or Italian sausage (optional)
  • 2 tbsp chopped onion (optional)
  • 2 tbsp chopped bell peppers (optional)
  • 2 tbsp sliced black olives (optional)
  • 2 tbsp banana peppers (optional)
  • 1/4 cup diced ham (optional)
  • 2 tbsp pineapple (optional)
  • 1/4 cup fresh spinach (optional)

Equipment

  • oven-safe bowl or ramekin
  • oven
  • spoon
  • measuring cups
  • baking tray (optional for stability)

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Spoon the pizza sauce into the bottom of an oven-safe bowl or small baking dish. Spread evenly to cover the base.
  3. Add your chosen toppings over the sauce. Layer them evenly or gently mix together.
  4. Top generously and evenly with shredded mozzarella cheese, covering the toppings completely.
  5. Bake for 15–20 minutes until the cheese is fully melted, bubbly, and lightly golden on top.
  6. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 2–3 minutes before serving. Serve warm directly from the bowl.

Notes

Use a thick, high-quality pizza sauce for the best flavor and avoid adding too much to prevent excess moisture. Always pre-cook meats before adding. Freshly shredded mozzarella melts better than pre-shredded. Let the bowl cool slightly before eating as the base stays very hot.
