Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 lb sausage, sliced
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 small cabbage, shredded
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • salt and black pepper to taste

Equipment

  • large skillet
  • knife
  • cutting board
  • spoon

Method

  1. Cook chopped bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving drippings in the pan.
  2. Add sliced sausage to the skillet and cook until browned on both sides. Remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté garlic in the same skillet for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
  5. Add shredded cabbage to the skillet. Season with paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 8–10 minutes until tender and slightly caramelized.
  6. Return bacon, sausage, and shrimp to the skillet. Add chicken broth and stir well.
  7. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until everything is heated through and flavors blend.
  8. Serve hot directly from the skillet.

Notes

Cook each protein separately for best texture and flavor. Pat shrimp dry before cooking to ensure a good sear. Do not overcook shrimp — remove as soon as they turn pink. Let cabbage caramelize slightly for deeper flavor.
