Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter or olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Method

Heat the Pan:
  1. Place a nonstick skillet over low-medium heat and add butter or oil. Let it melt and coat the pan evenly.
Crack the Eggs:
  1. Gently crack the eggs into the pan, keeping the yolks intact. If needed, crack them into a small bowl first, then pour them into the pan.
Cook Slowly:
  1. Let the eggs cook undisturbed for 2-3 minutes until the whites are fully set but the yolks remain runny.
  2. If the whites are not setting, cover the pan with a lid for the last 30 seconds to trap steam.
Season and Serve:
  1. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper to taste.
  2. Carefully slide the eggs onto a plate and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use fresh eggs for the best texture and shape.
  • Low heat is key to prevent crispy or rubbery whites.
  • Serve with toast, avocado, or sautéed veggies for a balanced meal.
