Ingredients
Method
Heat the Pan:
- Place a nonstick skillet over low-medium heat and add butter or oil. Let it melt and coat the pan evenly.
Crack the Eggs:
- Gently crack the eggs into the pan, keeping the yolks intact. If needed, crack them into a small bowl first, then pour them into the pan.
Cook Slowly:
- Let the eggs cook undisturbed for 2-3 minutes until the whites are fully set but the yolks remain runny.
- If the whites are not setting, cover the pan with a lid for the last 30 seconds to trap steam.
Season and Serve:
- Sprinkle with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Carefully slide the eggs onto a plate and serve immediately.
Notes
- Use fresh eggs for the best texture and shape.
- Low heat is key to prevent crispy or rubbery whites.
- Serve with toast, avocado, or sautéed veggies for a balanced meal.
