Ingredients

  • 1 lb pizza dough
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 1 cup cooked bacon pieces
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp garlic butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Equipment

  • large baking sheet
  • parchment paper
  • medium mixing bowl
  • sharp knife For cutting the steam slits.
  • Rolling Pin For rolling out the pizza dough.

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cooked bacon pieces, and ranch dressing. Stir until the chicken and bacon are evenly and thoroughly coated.
  3. Roll the pizza dough out into a large rectangle on the prepared baking sheet, keeping the thickness as even as possible.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese evenly down the center of the dough, leaving a 2-inch border around all the edges.
  5. Spoon the chicken, bacon, and ranch mixture evenly over the cheese layer.
  6. Fold the long sides of the dough over the filling then carefully roll into a tight log. Pinch all the seams firmly closed and place the stromboli seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  7. Brush the top and sides generously with the melted garlic butter. Sprinkle with the chopped fresh parsley.
  8. Using a sharp knife, cut 3 to 4 small diagonal slits across the top of the dough to allow steam to escape during baking.
  9. Bake for 25–30 minutes until the crust is puffed, deeply golden brown, and the cheese is fully melted inside.
  10. Remove from oven and allow to rest for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with extra ranch dressing for dipping if desired.

Notes

Use rotisserie chicken for the fastest preparation. Place the cheese directly on the dough before adding the chicken mixture to create a moisture barrier against the ranch dressing. Leave a 2-inch border around the edges, seal all seams firmly, place the stromboli seam-side down, and cut steam slits across the top before baking. Rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing for cleaner portions.
