- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F.
- In a large mixing bowl, toss the cabbage and onion with the oil until evenly coated. Add salt, black pepper, and your chosen seasoning. Mix thoroughly.
- Arrange the seasoned vegetables in the air fryer basket in a single even layer. Work in batches if necessary and avoid overcrowding.
- Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping or tossing halfway through cooking.
- Cook until the cabbage is tender with lightly crispy caramelized edges and the onions are golden and softened.
- Transfer to a serving dish and serve immediately as a side dish, snack, or topping.
Notes
Cook the cabbage and onion in a single layer for the best caramelization. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket or the vegetables will steam instead of crisp. Toss halfway through cooking for even browning. A splash of lemon juice or apple cider vinegar after cooking adds extra brightness.
